We see Data Security as absolutely essential – and believe every online business should do so – which means we’re building it in from the first moment.
Data encryption
Counsenance is fully web-based, and everything goes across encrypted (HTTPS) secure connections – the same as you use for banking and financial websites.
This means everything is encrypted between Counsenace and your browser, so no-one else can see it.
We also encrypt every client’s record individually – so even if one client’s record were somehow compromised, every other client’s records would still be encrypted and unreadable.
Data Backups
Our database is automatically backed up on an hourly basis, and copies are then stored off-site.
We also test the data restoration and backup process every month – there’s no point having backups if they don’t actually work!
GDPR ready
As your data processor, we provide you with a suite of tools to help you comply with the relevant articles of GDPR for a healthcare practice, including: right to be informed, right of access, right to rectification, right to erasure/to be forgotten, right to data portability.
Two-factor authentication
While we’re still starting up, we haven’t yet activated two-factor authentication (where we verify your access with a code sent to your phone or email) but this is planned to be put in place when we’re fully live.
